It’s Alive! (This blog just went public.)

This blog about new paradigm Mayan astrology has been in production for a few weeks but was announced publicly for the first today, 4 Ahau. Today is second recurrence of 4 Ahau since the Galactic Alignment of December 21, 2012, the so-called end of the Mayan Long Count calendar. The latter event occurred 520 days ago, so we are leaving the second Tzolkin cycle since December 21, 2012, and entering the third.

Ahau, called Ajpu in Guatemala, is the nahual that represents the deity Ajaw. This nahual, therefore marks both both the beginning and the end, for that is the true meaning of Ajaw in terms of time according to contemporary Maya scholars in Guatemala.

Ahau’s key meaning is illumination, which is the purpose of this blog, another reason I went public with the blog today.
